The Yreka Miners won the last time they faced the Anderson Cubs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Yreka enjoyed a cozy 55-41 victory over Anderson. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Yreka.
Isaac Tannaci went supernova for Yreka, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Tannaci continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jayden Dunbar, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Yreka's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 11-16. As for Anderson, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost 14 of their last 17 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.
Yreka will head out on the road to square off against Central Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Valley is coming into the contest with 11 straight losses at home, meaning Yreka will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. Anderson will take on University Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. University Prep will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Anderson surely won't give up without a fight.
