Basketball Recap: James Lee Key Part of a Team Effort in Conquering Riders Win

Arthur-Okaw Christian won the last time they faced Faith Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders came out on top against the Faith Christian Falcons by a score of 65-52. That's two games straight that the Conquering Riders have won by exactly 13 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arthur-Okaw Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than James Lee, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points along with eight boards and five assists. That's the most points Lee has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Helmuth, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds.

Arthur-Okaw Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Faith Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Schuler, who posted 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Schuler has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Bivins, who had 17 points.

Arthur-Okaw Christian's record now sits at 12-3. As for Faith Christian, they moved to 11-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Arthur-Okaw Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-54 defeat against Mid-Missouri HomeSchool on the 28th. As for Faith Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 86-84 victory against Galilean Christian Academy on the 28th.
