The P.K. Yonge Blue Wave will be playing in front of their home fans against the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.
P.K. Yonge extended their postseason success on Friday against Maclay. Their defense stepped up to hand the Marauders a 3-0 shutout. Considering P.K. Yonge has won 14 matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Faith Hardy and
Mae Dodd, who scored all three of P.K. Yonge's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 47 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Episcopal School of Jacksonville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over Pensacola Catholic on Friday. One seems to be a good number for Episcopal School of Jacksonville as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.
P.K. Yonge pushed their record up to 15-3-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those six matchups. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record this season.
Everything went P.K. Yonge's way against Episcopal School of Jacksonville in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as P.K. Yonge made off with a 4-1 win. Will P.K. Yonge repeat their success, or does Episcopal School of Jacksonville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
