It was a good run, but the North Blue Devils unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Milwaukee Hamilton by a score of 74-71. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat North has suffered since December 8, 2023.
North lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cayden Gibson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals. Gibson is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Dmonte Davis, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
North's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Milwaukee Hamilton, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
North will head out on the road to square off against Carmen Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Carmen Northwest knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matchups -- so hopefully North likes a good challenge. As for Milwaukee Hamilton, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Milwaukee Marshall. Milwaukee Marshall is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
