Baseball Recap: Lisbon Wins Going Away Against Durant

Lisbon had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 10-12 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Durant Wildcats. Considering the Lions have won nine contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Durant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-6. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this game were averaging four runs allowed.

For Durant's part, Colby Gast was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two RBI. Gast is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was David Holtz, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Looking ahead, Lisbon will head out on the road to challenge Tipton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Durant, they will be playing at home against West Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
