After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ross, Carey was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Bluffton Pirates. The Blue Devils have beaten the Pirates the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Pirates has come to flipping the script.

The victory got Carey back to even at 3-3. As for Bluffton, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carey will square off against Mohawk at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bluffton, they will challenge Genoa Area at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
