The Stone Memorial Panthers waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Livingston Academy with points to spare, taking the game 91-77. Stone Memorial pushed the score to 68-46 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.
Cade Capps continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 40 points along with five rebounds. That makes it 20 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Stone Memorial's points. Brady Lane was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Stone Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Livingston Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stone Memorial will square off against the Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarkrange will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Panthers are ranked 63rd). As for Livingston Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
