The Whitmer Panthers took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday (and then some). Everything went their way against St. Ursula Academy as Whitmer made off with a 44-21 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Whitmer also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Mackenzie Royal-davis was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 17 points along with 5 blocks. Jada Shoup was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 6 rebounds.
Whitmer's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for St. Ursula Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Whitmer will be playing in front of their home fans against Napoleon at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Ursula Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Northview at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
