Jefferson has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Rockford East E-Rabs at noon on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Jefferson took a serious blow against Rockford Auburn, falling 58-8.
Meanwhile, Rockford East had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against Freeport by a score of 30-20. That's two games straight that Rockford East has won by exactly ten points.
Rockford East's win bumped their season record to 4-5 while Jefferson's loss dropped theirs to 0-8.
Jefferson didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Rockford East in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, but they still walked away with a 38-32 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jefferson since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
