Union Pines has gone 8-2 against Western Harnett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Union Pines is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Union Pines got the win against Montgomery Central by a conclusive 9-2. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Vida Blue tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.2 innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Brodie Lyczkowski was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Andrew Moore, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Union Pines kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Western Harnett duked it out with Triton on Friday. The Eagles came up short against the Hawks, falling 19-2.
Western Harnett saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Mazurowski, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Western Harnett's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Union Pines, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Everything went Union Pines' way against Western Harnett when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Union Pines made off with a 14-5 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
