Lapeer West (Lapeer, Mich.).
After taking the lead on a
Noah Sargent touchdown pass to
Austin Buerkel in the second quarter, the Eagles were up 7-0 at the half.
Linden saw its 7-point halftime lead fall to three entering the fourth.
The loss snapped Lapeer West's five-game winning streak.
Lapeer West's only touchdown came on a 22-yard pass in the third quarter.
LHS entered the contest giving up 23.8 points per game this year.
The victory avenged Linden's close 13-10 loss to the Panthers last season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Lapeer West, which notched a 14-13 victory over Fenton in its previous outing. The win brought Linden's winning streak to three games.
