The Cedar Key Sharks lost against the Chiefland Indians back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Cedar Key had to suffer through a rough 71-18 loss at the hands of Chiefland. Cedar Key has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Chiefland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brianna Bell led the charge by scoring 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Bell is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Davies, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals.
Cedar Key's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Chiefland, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Cedar Key will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Gainesville Christian Community at 6:00 p.m. As for Chiefland, they will head out on the road to face off against Lafayette at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
