Softball Recap: Glenbard East Beats Rolling Meadows for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Glenbard East came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Rolling Meadows Mustangs a 17-0 shutout. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Glenbard East got a massive performance out of Reese Kuhlman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three runs gave Kuhlman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Carver, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Glenbard East hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.

Glenbard East's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Rolling Meadows, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-14.

Glenbard East has already played their next game, a 10-4 win against Glenbard South on the 5th. As for Rolling Meadows, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-2 loss against Palatine on the 5th.
