Vanguard Academy Rembrandt extended their  winning streak to six games  thanks to a huge performance from  Ryan Ruiz. The Vanguard Academy Rembrandt Spartans strolled past the Monte Alto Blue Devil with  points to spare on Friday, taking the game  64-46 thanks in part to  Ruiz, who  dropped  a double-double on 23 points and 11  boards. Those 23  points gave  him a new career-high.
 The team also got some help courtesy of  Gael Cortez, who  posted three points in addition to five  rebounds and five  steals. He has been hot, having  posted two or more  steals the last six times he's  played.
 Monte Alto's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Ramiro Vazquez, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 15  points and nine  boards.  Brian Ruiz was another key player,  putting up 12 points.
Vanguard Academy Rembrandt's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Monte Alto, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 12-12.
 Vanguard Academy Rembrandt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  65-53  victory against Vanguard Academy Beethoven on the 14th. Monte Alto has also  already played their next match,  an  88-43  win against Idea Academy on the 14th.
