Howards Grove hasn't had much luck against Random Lake recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Random Lake will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Howards Grove extended their winning streak to three on Monday. Everything went the Tigers' way against Oostburg as they made off with a 12-6 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tigers have posted against the Flying Dutchman since April 11, 2023.

Macey Schueler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Maddison Teunissen was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Alexia Hendrickson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Random Lake got the win against Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah on Monday by a conclusive 13-5. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Resorters recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Ava Daggett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Daggett was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Chloe Thill was a standout: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Laila Sanders, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Howards Grove now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Random Lake, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Howards Grove has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Random Lake struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Howards Grove suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Random Lake in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
