The Children's Village Hawks 's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight defeat. They were the victim of a tough 71-51 defeat at the hands of Tuckahoe. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Children's Village in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Children's Village still got an impressive performance from Damani Briggins, who scored 26 points. Another player making a difference was Mansura Choi, who scored seven points along with 16 rebounds and three blocks.
Children's Village dropped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Tuckahoe, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing The Leffell School the next time they take the court. Children's Village will host the Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
