The Roseville Tigers came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Antelope 68-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Roseville found their leader in underclassman Oreste Yong, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Newton, who scored 13 points.
Roseville's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Antelope, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10.
Roseville will take on Woodcreek at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Woodcreek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Roseville in California (Woodcreek is ranked 111th, while Roseville is ranked 333rd). As for Antelope, they will head out on the road to take on Inderkum at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Inderkum will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
