The Bronson Vikings won the last time they faced the Maple Valley Lions, and things went their way on Friday too. Bronson claimed a resounding 67-30 win over Maple Valley at home. That looming 67-30 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Bronson yet this season.
It was another big night for Kamron Brackett, who went 10 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 41 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Boston Bucklin, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Maple Valley saw an underclassman step up: Teegen McDonald scored ten points.
Bronson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Maple Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bronson will square off against Constantine at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Constantine will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 619th, while Bronson is ranked 210th). As for Maple Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Comstock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Comstock is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
