Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Mesivta

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Mesivta on Monday. They came out on top against the Foundation Collegiate Academy Wolves by a score of 62-53. The win was familiar territory for the Mustangs who have now won seven contests in a row.

Mesivta's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shaked Ben-David, who posted 20 points along with five boards and four steals. Ben-David is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathanel Bitas, who put up ten points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Mesivta's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Foundation Collegiate Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mesivta and Mercy Career & Technical will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Foundation Collegiate Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against The City School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
