Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Pontiac

Pontiac entered their tilt with Cardinal Mooney Catholic on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 47-38 victory over the Cardinal Mooney Catholic Cardinals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Phoenix also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Pontiac's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Germani Hall led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 34 points and nine steals. Hall's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 25 points. Another player making a difference was Chrisah Ratcliff, who posted 13 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Pontiac smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Pontiac pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points over those games. As for Cardinal Mooney Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
