The Dothan Wolves will head out on the road to take on the Enterprise Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
In Friday's Canine Competition, Dothan prevailed. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Brantley a 15-0 shutout on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Jada Newman and Savanna Kendrick were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Newman pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Kendrick tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Newman has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Newman went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs, while Kendrick went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Newman has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Jadyn Hutchins was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kinley German was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Dothan hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in nine consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Enterprise, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Brantley with a sharp 17-1 victory on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Mackenzie Reagan made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Reagan was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Enterprise got a massive performance out of Ava Milton, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Sydney Neuwien, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and four runs.
Dothan's record now sits at 20-11. As for Enterprise, their record is now 24-7-1.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Dothan has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. However, it's not like Enterprise struggles in that department as they've averaged .462. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dothan couldn't quite finish off Enterprise in their previous matchup back in March and fell 7-5. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
