The Madison-Grant Argylls will be playing at home against the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Madison-Grant fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They strolled past Eastbrook with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 71-56.
Madison-Grant's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clayton Hull, who scored 20 points along with two steals. Gavin Kelich was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything went Alexandria-Monroe's way against Muncie Burris on Tuesday as Alexandria-Monroe made off with a 80-54 victory.
Madison-Grant's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9.
Madison-Grant strolled past Alexandria-Monroe when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 59-42. Does Madison-Grant have another victory up their sleeve, or will Alexandria-Monroe turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
