The Immokalee Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 33-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clewiston. Immokalee has struggled against Clewiston recently, as their contest on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Clewiston got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abria Askew out in front who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Milan Holomes, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Immokalee's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Clewiston, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Immokalee won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Golden Gate at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Golden Gate is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Clewiston, they will be playing at home against Lake Placid at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
