The Summertown Eagles stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to Lewis County for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-18 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Summertown sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Karlie Campbell was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Brazier, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Summertown's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.9 points. As for Lewis County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summertown won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Mt. Pleasant will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 366th, while the Eagles are ranked 18th). As for Lewis County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Loretto is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season.
