The Altoona-Midway Jets posted their closest  win yet this season on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Tyro Christian  and snuck past  45-42. That's two games straight that Altoona-Midway has won by exactly three  points.
 Leading Altoona-Midway to victory were  Kieran Foster and  William Stackhouse.  Foster  scored 19 points, while  Stackhouse  scored 17 points along with eight  rebounds and five  steals. Stackhouse also  posted two  blocks for the first time this season.  Jacob Meigs was another key contributor,  scoring five points along with eight  rebounds and three  blocks.
 Altoona-Midway's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Tyro Christian, their loss  ended a four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 8-3.
 Altoona-Midway won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Chetopa at 7:30  p.m.  on January 19th. Chetopa comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Tyro Christian won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Liberty HomeSchool Alliance at 5:15  p.m.  on January 19th. Liberty HomeSchool Alliance has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 199 points over their last three contests.
