West Clermont has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Lebanon Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully West Clermont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday.
Even though West Clermont has not done well against Turpin recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. West Clermont slipped by Turpin 48-47.
West Clermont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rayshawn Hubbard led the charge by scoring 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Duke, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Lebanon beat Anderson 57-52 on Friday.
West Clermont has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-10 record this season. Lebanon's record is now 7-8.
West Clermont might still be hurting after the 76-54 defeat they got from Lebanon when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can West Clermont avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
