There's no place like home for The Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on Prattville Christian Academy with a sharp 49-28 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for Trinity Presbyterian, who have now won six matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Trinity Presbyterian had a senior duo take command as Walker Mcclinton threw for 323 yards and three touchdowns and Ross Sanders rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Herbert Wheat jr, who gained 96 total yards and a touchdown.
Prattville Christian Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tanner Byrd, who threw for 350 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Conner Williams was another key contributor, picking up 161 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Trinity Presbyterian's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.3 points per game. As for Prattville Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Trinity Presbyterian will head out on the road to face off against Greensboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greensboro will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 368th, while Trinity Presbyterian is ranked 86th). As for Prattville Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sumter Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
