After flying high against the Pinellas Park Patriots last Monday, the Hollins Royals came back down to earth. Hollins was dealt a 78-42 loss at the hands of Gibbs on Tuesday. Hollins has not had much luck with Gibbs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Loss or not, Hollins got some senior leadership from Malachi Miller and Josh Castallani. Miller scored 18 points along with two steals and two blocks, while Castallani. scored nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Miller is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played.
Hollins' loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Gibbs, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.
Hollins will head out on the road to take on Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gibbs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Petersburg at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
