Sports Leadership & Management won the last time they faced Valley and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bulls put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 17-1 win. Considering the Bulls have won 12 games by more than ten runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Mya Schweisthal made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Sports Leadership & Management let Carmen Castro and Naima Ralston run wild. Castro went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double, while Ralston went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Castro has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicole Carrasco, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Sports Leadership & Management always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley only posted an OBP of .143.
The victory made it two in a row for Sports Leadership & Management and bumps their season record up to 18-3.
