Floyd Central's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Magoffin County with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Barrett Williams and Greyson Akers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Williams pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Akers didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. At the plate, Williams went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Akers went 2-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Meade, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Belfry kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.
The win got Belfry back to even at 2-2. As for Floyd Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
