Benedictine won the last time they faced Shaw and things went their way on Monday too. The Benedictine Bengals were the clear victor by a 67-45 margin over the Shaw Cardinals. The Bengals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Noah Whisler was the offensive standout of the match as he went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamari Carter, who posted nine points.

Benedictine has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Shaw, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Benedictine wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-51 victory against Trinity on the 28th. As for Shaw, they will face off against Maple Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Maple Heights knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Shaw likes a good challenge.
