On Thursday, the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies faced the Timberline Wolves in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Rocky Mountain had just enough and edged Timberline out  44-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Rocky Mountain also won the last time the pair played  back in February of 2023.
 It was another big night for  Logan Sailors, who  scored 20 points along with three  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Anna Dabell, who  scored 12 points along with eight  rebounds.
 Timberline's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Emmi Swillie, who  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and 12  rebounds, and  Grace Mertes who  scored 14 points along with seven  rebounds. Mertes is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight.  Ashlyn Graklanoff was another key contributor,  scoring six points.
 Rocky Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Timberline, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 11-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rocky Mountain's road trip will continue as they head out to face Borah at 7:30  p.m.  on January 23rd. As for Timberline, they will  square off against Owyhee at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday.
