William Masterson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. He has become a key player for Tulare Western: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 1-8-1 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chi'El Sanchez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Tulare Western is 3-1-1 when Sanchez posts two or more runs, but 1-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Peredo, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Tulare Western's victory bumped their record up to 4-8-1. As for Lemoore, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Lemoore skirted past Tulare Western 6-5 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
