Crosby is 6-0 against Derby since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Crosby Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Derby Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Derby took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Crosby, who comes in off a win.
Even though Holy Cross scored an imposing 64 points on Tuesday, Crosby still came out on top. Crosby managed a 68-64 victory over Holy Cross. 68 seems to be a good number for Crosby as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Among those leading the charge was Daniel Melendez, who scored 25 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Curtis Ellis, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Derby's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 57-46 to East Haven.
The win makes it two in a row for Crosby and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Derby, they bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Crosby against Derby when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 94-44 win. With Crosby ahead 48-25 at the half, the game was all but over already.
