While Huron put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Douglas. The Tigers blew past the Patriots 47-0. That looming 47-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Huron to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colt Culver, who threw for 217 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Landon Hulst helped Culver out on the ground, rushing for 121 yards and one TD on only 13 carries.

Huron's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.3 points on average over those games. As for Douglas, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Huron will welcome Aberdeen Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Douglas, they will face off against Spearfish at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Patriots' offense will have their work cut out for them.
