Basketball Recap: Luke Bledsoe's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Coastal Brigade over Gramercy Christian

Coastal Brigade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The match between them and the Gramercy Christian Warriors didn't end well, with Coastal Brigade falling 57-42. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Coastal Brigade this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-34 back in November of 2024.

Several Coastal Brigade players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Bledsoe, who posted 13 points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Bledsoe a new career-high in assists. Dustin Powell was another key player, putting up seven points.

Diego De Hoyos had a dynamite game for Gramercy Christian, going 9 of 15 on his way to 21 points along with five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Bryce Lowry, who scored nine points in addition to six assists and six blocks.

Coastal Brigade's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Gramercy Christian, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-12.

Coastal Brigade has already played their next game (against Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gramercy Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-35 win against Trinity Christian on the 31st.
