On Wednesday, it was close, but Legacy Charter capped 2023 with a 44-42 win over Boone. The win made it back-to-back wins for Legacy Charter.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyle James, who scored nine points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. Garrison Cooper was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds.
Several Braves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Makauri Massey, who scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Massey has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lian Hernandez, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Legacy Charter is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Boone, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
