Miami Trace also got a great performance from Cam Morton as he didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Brody McBee was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. Cooper Enochs was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Briggs' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Miami Trace, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Briggs might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from Miami Trace in their previous matchup back in March of 2021.
