The Des Arc Eagles were the 52-50 winner over the East Poinsett County Warriors when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Des Arc took a 30-16 bruising from East Poinsett County on Friday. Des Arc has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Dennis Gaines, who rushed for 198 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Gaines is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. Cooper Argo and his 96 yards on the ground were also a key factor in East Poinsett County's victory.
Des Arc's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for East Poinsett County, their win was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Des Arc will take on McCrory at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. McCrory has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 188 points over their last four contests. As for East Poinsett County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marked Tree at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marked Tree is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
