Silver Lake has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Kenesaw Blue Devils at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Silver Lake struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Warriors had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Silver Lake took a 49-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Silver Lake has scored all season.
Silver Lake's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jordan Faimon, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Vance, who scored four points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Kenesaw's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 49-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Deshler.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jack Ryan, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Jravin Suck was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Silver Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Kenesaw, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Silver Lake have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Kenesaw struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.5 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything came up roses for Silver Lake against the Blue Devils when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 63-34 victory. With Silver Lake ahead 30-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.
