Pemberton moved up to 187 from 245 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in West Jersey - Patriot. The Hornets climbed the ranks as a result of topping Deptford 34-8.
Lawrence added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Ewing, 20-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Pemberton's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dennis Clark threw for 182 and 4 touchdowns and Jahmir Foman had 47 yards receiving. On the ground Quincey Lambert contributed 68 yards. Cordele Taylor helped Pemberton's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 45 yards.
He went 8-13 with 0 interceptions.
Lambert was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 68 yards on 15 carries as John Rosnick's team bested the Spartans. Foman also contributed to the rushing game with 55 yards on the ground.
6-foot-1 quarterback Clark of the Hornets is the league leader in passing yards this season with 471. He has also thrown 6 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Greg Taylor. The Burlington Township star has 7 catches for 144 yards.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Burlington Township's Taylor goes up against Pemberton's Noah Davis.
As it stands, the Hornets are in second, while the Falcons are in fourth.
The league will see a high scoring game when Pemberton and Burlington Township face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Hornets comes in having scored 81 this season, while Tom Maderia's team has scored 73. Pemberton scored 34 points last week as it beat Deptford.
