The Bladensburg Mustangs had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Eleanor Roosevelt on the road and fell 59-12. Bladensburg was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eleanor Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than McKenzie D'antignac, who scored 8 points along with 8 steals and 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sakairah Sterling, who scored 11 points along with 6 steals.
Bladensburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Bladensburg will head out on the road to face off against Parkdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, they will take on Longwood Prep Academy at 5:40 p.m. on Friday.
