Aloha's Thomas Tyner rumbled for the longest rushing play in 6A Metro this season in his game against Beaverton last week. Tyner scampered for 93 yards on the play and finished with 311 on the day as his team bested the Beavers.
Aloha extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Beaverton, 42-22. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
CJ Eytel put up the best numbers through the air as the Warriors topped Bob Boyer's team. He finished with one completions for four yards and one touchdown. Eytel's favorite target this week was Maurice McSwain, who caught one pass for four yards.
Teagan Lind was the best wideout in the league this week as Westview lost to Jesuit. Lind tallied two receptions for 27 yards. Matt Walker helped Westview's passing attack out by catching one ball for 10 yards.
The Beavers' Kyle Eckrosh and Davasyia Hagger have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 6A Metro in both passing and receiving yards. Eckrosh has thrown for 776 yards this season, while Hagger, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 21 catches for 385 yards. Tyner from Aloha leads the league in rushing with 1968 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Crusaders and Southridge. Jesuit enters the game ranked third in the state, while the Skyhawks ranks 13th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Ken Potter's team takes on Southridge. The Crusaders have allowed 92 points this season, while the Skyhawks have given up 120. Jesuit allowed 7 points last week as it defeated the Wildcats.
Westview made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,355 from 5,617. The advance stemmed from a 42-7 victory over Greg Fisher's team last week.
