The Central Baptist Swordsmen lost against the Fayette Academy Vikings on December 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Central Baptist ended up on the wrong side of a tough 74-52 walloping at the hands of Fayette Academy. Central Baptist has not had much luck with Fayette Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Fayette Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clay Anderson, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Harris Armour, who scored 19 points.
Central Baptist has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Fayette Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Baptist is on the road again on Friday and play against Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Fayette Academy, they will square off against Lakeland Preparatory at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeland Preparatory is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
