Columbia extended the longest winning streak in Patriot - Stripes this week by beating Lutheran West, 16-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Clearview moved up to 446 from 473 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 36-14 win over Oberlin helped the Clippers improve their standing.
Clearview's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Roger Engle threw for 73 and one touchdown and Ryan Vargo had 68 yards receiving. On the ground Chad Anderson chipped in 243 yards. Anderson helped Clearview's passing attack out by catching two balls for five yards.
Mike Collier's team's Engle and Gerrell Williams have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Engle has thrown for 1107 yards this season, while Williams has 19 catches for 458 yards. The The Phoenix 's Kalif Townsel leads the league in rushing yards with 898.
A big matchup in Patriot - Stripes this week will be when Columbia takes on Brooklyn. At the moment, Jason Ward's team is in first, while the Hurricanes are in sixth.
Fairview took down Brooklyn 55-20 last week, the largest margin of any game.
