Softball Recap: Atchison Wins Going Away Against Washington

While Atchison put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Washington. The Phoenix put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 17-0 win. Considering the Phoenix have won ten contests by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Kelsey Rebant, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. Andi Estes was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Atchison hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington struck out six times.

Atchison's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-6. As for Washington, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

Coming up, Atchison will square off against Tonganoxie at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Washington, they will face off against Harmon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
