The Bozeman Bucks put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 48-41 victory over Cottondale. Given Bozeman's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Cottondale is ranked 285th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Noah Gray was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Groves, who scored 9 points along with 11 rebounds.
Cottondale's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ahmad Stringer, who scored 8 points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Odom, who scored 10 points.
Bozeman's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Cottondale, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bozeman will play host again and welcome Port St. Joe, where tip off is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. on Friday. Port St. Joe comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Cottondale, they will be playing at home against Sneads at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
