The Warren Township Blue Devils lost against the Stevenson Patriots back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Warren Township took a hard 41-25 fall against Stevenson. While losing is never fun, Warren Township can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while Stevenson is ranked 26th).
Nari Powers was Warren Township's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Powers also led the team in rebounds with six.
Anjelica Amezquita took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Warren Township's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Stevenson, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren Township is on the road again on Saturday and play against Vernon Hills at 2:00 p.m. on December 9th. As for Stevenson, they will square off against Mundelein at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
