The Robinson Knights came tearing into Wednesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Riverview with points to spare, taking the game 71-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jordan Mickens continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 assists. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Russell, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds.
Robinson's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Riverview, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Robinson and Gaither will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Gaither will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while Robinson is ranked 103rd). As for Riverview, they will be playing at home against Bloomingdale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
