Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Orangefield). They really took it to the Hardin Hornets for the full four quarters, racking up a 91-33 victory. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while the Hornets are ranked 1426th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Orangefield to victory were Jaden Scales and Carson Willis. Scales went 11 for 18 on his way to 24 points in addition to seven assists and three steals, while Willis went 7 of 10 en route to 16 points and five steals. The game was Scales' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carson Gonzales, who posted seven points and five boards.

Orangefield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 6.2 offensive rebounds per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.9.

The win was the third in a row for Orangefield, bringing their record for this year to 18-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points per game. As for Hardin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Orangefield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 79-35 defeat against Kountze on the 17th. Hardin has also already played their next game, a 54-49 victory against Warren on the 17th.
